Education
Dr Dan McKenna, began his successful Dentistry/Oral Surgery career, when he studied at Trinity College in Dublin, before moving to Queens University in Belfast.
Once graduated, he continued his specialist training at the School of Dentistry. He went on to gain a Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and eventually became the specialist Oral Surgeon, we all know today.
Having gained a passion for his knowledge in surgical dentistry, Dan then went on to receive a Diploma in ‘Implant Dentistry’ at the Royal College of Surgeon’s of England. This was a specialist course, which was set-up by Dr Ashok Sethi, a close mentor to Dan.
This qualification; set a firm foundation for Dan to be ethically approved by the G.D.C (General Dental Council) to teach implantology methods in surgical dentistry to other Oral Surgeons.
Courses
The Whiterose Clinic can now offer Oral Surgery Courses, within its new state of the art facility, they include:
• Ankylos:Offered by Dr Dan McKenna and his Colleague at Fortwilliam Clinic, Belfast. A yearly course, specifically tailored for Ankylos system users.
• Nobelbiocare: Dr Dan McKenna is a mentor for this system.
Other Courses Dan had attended include:
• All-on-4 System– Taught by Dr Palo Malo in Portugal.
• Zygomatic Implants – Taught by Professor Malevez in Belgium.
As one of the most experienced and qualified Oral Surgeons/Implantologists in the Province, Dan continues to attract new Patients from all over Ireland the UK mainland, Europe and across the Globe.
His array of Qualifications and certificates, set the ‘benchmark’ very high and the Whiterose Clinic, provides the perfect situation, for Dan to work in harmony with his highly qualified team and Patients.
